West Hartley is situated in the heart of the much sought after South Hams area of South Devon. It is about equi-distant between the towns of Totnes and Kingsbridge and about 8 miles from the A38 dual-carriageway, making the development easily accessible and very suitable as a holiday retreat.

In an area of unspoilt natural beauty,West Hartley is surrounded by tranquil countryside with high rounded hills and steep sided valleys lush with vegetation. The nearby spectacular coastline around the South Devon coast offers lovely sandy beaches and superb cliff top walks.

The pretty harbour town of Dartmouth is only a short drive away and provides a good range of commercial and recreational facilities. Narrow streets, long flights of steps and overhanging medieval houses give the town a character ambience, whilst the River Dart provides a fascinating and continuing panorama of activity with fishing boats, ferries, yachts and on occasion, naval vessels visiting the Britannia Royal Naval College.

Near the development is the Dartmouth Golf and Country Club offering an 18 hole championship golf course with hotel and leisure facilities. Other golf clubs within easy reach include Bigbury,Thurlestone and Wrangaton.
